Mumia: Long Distance Revolutionary has been hailed as the “definitive film” on the life and times of journalist, author, dissident, as well as the world’s most well known political prisoner. Released by the venerable First Run Features, the documentary premiered domestically at the Mill Valley Film Festival (San Francisco) and internationally at CPH:DOX Copenhagen. The film opened in New York City in February 2013 and enjoyed sellouts and extended runs in NYC as well as Los Angeles and then opened across the country including Philadelphia, Oakland, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Washington DC, Chicago, Miami, and elsewhere.

The film legendary filmmaker Albert Maysles called “gripping,” had its broadcast premiere on the
STARZ Network and is now available streaming on STARZ, for digital download on iTunes, and is also available on DVD – where you can experience the explosive short film, Manufacturing Guilt, which details the astonishing efforts of the Philadelphia Police Department and DA’s office to frame Abu-Jamal.

Mumia: Long Distance Revolutionary is also available internationally. Released by Monoduo Films in Berlin, the film enjoyed wide theatrical release in Germany as well as screenings across the world, including London, Athens, Sydney, and Havana. Audiences tuned in for the international broadcast premiere on the TeleSUR Network in Venezuela and the film is now available streaming internationally on REALEYZ.
